<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rainwater from entering a unit cover with a simple structure by providing an intake hole and an exhaust hole for cooling a motor on the side surface and the top surface of a unit base. SOLUTION: A unit base 10 is formed of a synthetic resin so as to project upward, each one first and second intake holes 11, 12 and each two exhaust holes 13, 14 are formed on the side surface and the top surface on cooling wind inlet and outlet 3, 4 sides of a motor 2. During the pump operation, cooling wind to be allowed to flow from the cooling wind inlet 3 to the cooling wind outlet 4 is guided by a cooling fan of the motor 2, external air is allowed to flow from an intake hole 11 into a unit base 10 in the direction of the arrow A, bent perpendicularly, and allowed to flow into the cooling wind inlet 3 from the intake hole 12, so as to cool the motor 2. Air allowed to flow from the cooling wind outlet 4 is allowed to flow from the exhaust holes 14 into the unit base 10 in the direction of the arrow B, bent perpendicularly, and discharged from the exhaust holes 14 to the outside. External air is allowed to flow upward from the side surface, and the rainwater is not allowed to flow to the second intake hole 12.</p> |
