PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent impairment of usability for a user by a system wherein transfer is made to a safety operation when it is judged that some abnormality occurs in a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: This water heater is provided with a first safety control means 124 which determines a temperature differenceΔT between a hot supply water temperature Th obtained by detection by a temperature sensor 7 and a set temperature Ts by comparing them at the time point of the end of a feed- forward control and which judges the temperature sensor 7 to be abnormal when the temperature differenceΔT is larger than a thresholdαset beforehand and executes transfer to a safety operation.
