PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seal bonding sheet capable of producing a liq. crystal panel having high precision of the gap between the substrates in a high yield, excellent in durability and capable of maintaining a high yield even after repetitive use by providing at least one adhesive layer and disposing polyimide layers on both sides of an adhesive layer. SOLUTION: Polyimide layers 3, 4 are disposed on both sides of an adhesive layer to obtain the objective seal bonding sheet having a three-layers structure. This sheet made more excellent in durability when the coffets. of linear expansion of the polyimide layers 3, 4 are <=2.0×10<-5> cm/ deg.C in both one arbitrary direction X and a direction Y perpendicular to the direction X. The number of polyimide layers disposed is not restricted if the polyimide layers 3, 4 are disposed on both sides of the adhesive layer 1. The thickness of the adhesive layer 1 and the polyimide layers 3, 4 are not especially limited but the thickness of the adhesive layer 1 is usually 5-500μm and that of the polyimide layers 3, 4 is usually about 5-200μm.
