The multi-polled method in a facsimile comprises a first step of setting a manuscript to be transmitted to a polled party, storing this set manuscript at a memory and also designating a polling password; a second step of comparing mutual passwords of the polled party when a data transmission command(DTC) signal for performing a polling in a stand-by state is recognized after a designation of the password in the first step; and a third step of stopping its operation for an abnormal operation when the password does not coincide therewith in the second step and executing the transmission operation when coinciding, thereby enabling to execute a transmission to several polling parties.
