PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to discriminate and read readable symbols in spite of printing of these symbols in superposition. SOLUTION: A first printing unit 23 and a second printing unit 24 are arranged midway a transporting path consisting of transporting belts 18, 21 for transporting postcards 2. The light emission wavelength of fluorescent ink of an ink ribbon used by a thermal head unit 30 of this first printing unit and the light emission wavelength of the fluorescent ink of an ink ribbon used by a thermal head unit 43 of the second printing unit are varied. Labels are usually printed with bar codes by the first printing unit and are stuck to the postcards. The labels are printed with the correct bar codes by the second printing unit and are stuck to the postcards at the time of superposing the labels onto the once stuck labels and sticking these labels when there are errors in the bar codes. |
