PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image receive sheet having a high sensitivity with which irregular sensitivity and defective images can be reduced, and high quality transfer images can be obtained, and provide an image forming method using the sheet. SOLUTION: An image receive sheet is used for an image forming method wherein an ink layer of a thermal transfer sheet having on a support body the ink layer having as main components a pigment and a thermoplastic resin is transferred on the image receive sheet by irradiation with a laser beam modulated by a digital signal. The image receive sheet is a laminated body comprising a plastic support body having fine cells inside and an image receiving layer. On the ink layer of the thermal transfer sheet, the image receiving layer of the image receive sheet is superposed. Thereafter, the laser beam modulated by the digital signal is emitted from the rear face of the transfer sheet (or the laser beam is emitted by ablation method) so as to form a transferred image on the image receiving layer of the image receive sheet. |
