Objects such as pictures or works of art are hung up and fixed into position using a hanger that comprises a frame (1) at least partially enclosing and guiding a movable pad (3). Holes (2) in the hanger allow it to be permanently secured to the object. The picture hook is received by a threaded hole (4) extending through the pad. Restricted movement of the pad and hook relative to the frame is allowed for by a space (5) in the rear side of the frame, that enables the hook to be moved until friction between it and the frame prevents any further movement of the pad. The frame may be specially designed so that it has a protrusion (6), from which a hook removed from the object during transport in order to prevent may be hung. |
