The present invention is to provide a hand unit of cordless phone. The hand unit of cordless phone according to the present invention comprises: a switch(25) for generating a mode signal for registering intrinsic information; a key input means(21) for generating key data for setting up function and for selecting intrinsic characters; memory(24) for storing intrinsic characters of said hand unit; a controlling means(20) for storing intrinsic character generated in said key input means onto said memory as intrinsic information when receiving the registering mode signal and for outputting the intrinsic character stored on said memory when standby; and a displaying means(22) for displaying the intrinsic character from said controlling means. Thereby, a user of a cordless phone can be clearly identified.
