Clock generator for use with controller of external equipment

The clock generator has a first input device (12) to receive a pulse signal (TRG) from an external equipment, and a counter (16) which counts a number of pulses of the pulse signal. There is a control signal generator, a second input device (13) for a state change signal (EXT) indicating a change of state of the external equipment, and a count process controller. The counter counts the pulses of the input pulse signal up to a certain value and outputs a count end signal when the count finishes. The counting process controller controls the count process, depending on the state change signal.
