<p>Blemish and blister formation during autodeposition coating of non-ferrous metal surfaces, particularly galvanized steel and similar zinciferous surfaces, can be greatly reduced by exposing the surfaces to a blemish inhibiting aqueous solution of phosphonates, preferably from an aminophosphonic acid, before autodeposition coating.</p> |
