DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICE

In order to improve the accuracy of distance measurements in the close range, there is a signal source (MWO) which generates a microwave signal (ST). A first mixer (MI1) mixes the microwave signal (ST) with a frequency-modulated signal (SSZ) and emits the mixed signal. A second mixed signal (ZFS) is formed from the received signal (SE) and the microwave signal (ST) by means of a second mixer (MI2) and taken to a delay component. There is a third mixer (QMI) in order to form a third mixed signal (mess2(t)) from the delayed second mixed signal and the frequency-modulated signal (SZF) as a measure for the distance (L) of the object (MO).
