A liquid crystal display capable of reducing a difference of luminances between pixels and improving a contrast by decreasing a line resistance and forming an effective photo control structure is disclosed. The liquid crystal display includes at least one substrate(10). A plurality of first electrodes(20) are disposed on the substrates (20) in a predetermined pattern. A plurality of second electrodes(60) are situated from first electrodes(20) by a predetermined distance in such a way that second electrodes(60) face first electrodes(20). The plurality of second electrodes(60) define a pixel area. Liquid crystal layers(40) are filled between first electrodes(20) and second electrodes(60). An insulating layer(30) is formed between liquid crystal layers(40) and divides liquid crystal layers(40) into a multiple layer. A support member(50) is mounted between each of the insulating layers(30) and fixes locations of the insulating layer(30). A metal layer is disposed at at least one of first electrodes(20) and second electrodes(60) ouside of the pixel area and decreases a line resistance.
