Succinic acid derivative degradable chelants, uses and compositions thereof

Aminosuccinic acid chelants are disclosed that have been found to be applicable in photographic bleaching processes. The aminosuccinic acids can be used in the form of metal complexes as bleaching agents in a method of bleaching or bleach-fixing a silver halide photographic material. The processing solutions contain at least one metal complex of a polyamino disuccinic acid and one or more metal complexes of a polyamino monosuccinic acid or a monoamino monosuccinic acid.
