PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified polyarylene sulfide(PAS) excellent in adhesion to epoxy resins, other thermoplastic resins and metals, etc., while maintaining good heat and solvent resistances and mechanical characteristics essential to the PAS. SOLUTION: (A) A polyarylene sulfide having 50-5000 P melt viscosity V6 and 1.0-1.2 non-Newtonian coefficient is reacted with (B) an epoxy compound in a polar organic solvent to bond the epoxy compound in an amount of 0.5-15wt.% (based on the polyarylene sulfide) to the polyarylene sulfide. |
