PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure superior optical characteristics and dimensional stability, satisfactory adhesion of a film and superior productivity by using a syndiotactic polystyrene substrate and specifying the angle of contact of the substrate with water after the substrate is surface-treated before imparting an undercoat layer. SOLUTION: The substrate of this sensitive material is a syndiotactic polystyrene substrate and the angle of contact of the substrate with water is 39-65 deg. after the substrate is surface-treated before imparting an undercoat layer. The substrate is a film based on syndiotactic polystyrene and its stereoregular structure (tacticity) chiefly has a syndiotactic structure, that is, a steric structure in which phenyl groups or substd. phenyl groups as side chains are alternately positioned in the opposite directions to the principal chain consisting of carbon - carbon bonds. The angle of contact of the substrate with water is 39-65 deg., preferably 39-55 deg.. In the case of <39 deg., effects on wettability and adhesiveness are not enhanced and severe conditions in surface treatment are required. |
