ZIRCONIA TUNDISH COLLAR NOZZLE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia tundish collar nozzle formed in such a manner that its corrosion resistance is easily and inexpensively enhanced and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: A slurry is formed by dispersing yttrium oxide powder into liquid. The slurry is forcibly fed and/or sucked to the working surface of an inside hole to pack the pores of the surface and thereafter, the yttrium oxide powder and the zirconia of a base material are brought into reaction by executing a heat treatment.
