PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make communication automatically via other equipment than a destination equipment for direct communication even when the user does not arrange equipments in a correct direction. SOLUTION: When an input output section 6 of an external equipment 3 is not directed to an input output section 4 of an image pickup device 1 but directed to an input output section 5 of a printer 2, at first direct communication between the external equipment 3 and the image pickup device 1 is tried and after this communication is failed, the communication via the printer 2 is tried. In order to make this communication successful, the printer 2 is used for a communication path between the external device 3 and the image pickup device 1 to conduct the transfer of a program from the external device 3 to the image pickup device 1 and the communication to instruct the execution of the transferred program via the printer 2. |
