PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pile fabric excellent in color development and soft handle by using a specific pile yarn and subjecting a pile fabric subjected to ground dyeing to color print, print discharge style, printing by a colored solution, etc. SOLUTION: This pile fabric comprises a spun yarn which contains 20-100wt.% of a fiber having 1.5-6.5μm thickness in a pile constituent part and is composed of 20-80wt.% of a polyester fiber which has 1-6dl single fiber fineness and is not substantially dyeable with a cation dye and 80-20wt.% of a cation-dyeable polyester fiber contained in the pile constituent part as a pile yarn and is formed by weaving the pile yarn to make a moquette of double weaving, threshing the fiber, shearing the fiber and carrying out any ground dyeing among fiber dyeing, yarn dyeing or fabric immersion dyeing. The pile fabric is further subjected to color print, print discharge style, color print after discharge or color print containing a discharging printing agent.
