PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register the tentatively stored name and the telephone number of a destination in an idle area of a memory in a way arranged by the user. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set having a storage section 15 storing information of plural opposite parties including plural names and telephone numbers in cross reference with the plural names is provided with an entry means 11 entering the information of opposite party, a temporary storage means 14 storing temporality the destination information entered by the entry means 11, a display means 4 displaying the destination information and the presence of an idle area 22 of the storage section 15 in a predetermined memory address order, and registration means 12, 13 registering the destination information stored tentatively in the temporary storage means 14 in the idle area 22 of the storage section 15 by entering the memory area of the idle area 22 and the registration command of the destination information with the entry means 11.
