The child carrycot, which can be positioned and held in a vehicle or on a pushchair chassis, comprises a framework (2) with retractable stiffeners (3) located along the longitudinal sides for ensuring folding. It comprises a monobloc platform (4) constituting the carrycot bottom wall and all or part of the longitudinal and lateral sides. This platform fits tightly in the frame and the stiffeners during erection or folding of the carrycot. The platform has a bottom (4a), two longitudinal sides (4b,4c) and a lateral side (4d) corresponding to the positioning of the infant's head. These sides, forming protection walls, are pivoted relative to the platform base.
