PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling tower capable of securely supplying cold air without being influenced by temperature and humidity of fresh air by utilizing solar energy without securing an installation space of a solar cell panel in the vicinity of a sound shielding space of a car only road. SOLUTION: This cooling tower 2 is provided at a bus stop 52 on an express way 50. A solar cell panel 16 is mounted on a sound shielding panel 56, and generated electricity is stored in a battery. Once a person comes near a blow-off outlet 14, water is sprinkled on the upper part of a water vaporization member 10 with the aid of driving of a pump, and flows downward on the water vaporization member 10. Further, an air stream is produced in a space part, directed from the upper portion to the lower portion with the driving of a fan, and fresh air passes through the water vaporization member 10 owing to the air stream and is sucked into the space part. The fresh air is cooled with vaporization heat upon its passing through the water vaporization member 10, and is blown out from the cold air blow-off outlet 14 as cold air while the person is existent near the cold air blow-off outlet 14. |
