PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator which assures excellent voltage- displacement characteristic and is driven with a lower drive voltage. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric actuator comprises first and second piezoelectric plates 32, 33, an elastic material 34 arranged between these first and second piezoelectric plate and electrodes provided respectively to the first and second piezoelectric plates, namely the individual electrodes 32a, 33a to which an intermediate voltage of the maximum voltage and maximum inverse voltage of the allowable voltage of these piezoelectric plates is applied as a bias voltage, and the common electrode 35 of the first and second piezoelectric plates to which a drive voltage is applied. |
