PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain prescribed acceleration practically even when a running resistance changes depending upon the state of a road surface, presence or absence of a load, the weight, etc., in regard to an electric vehicle equipped with a soft start function. SOLUTION: In a memory 13a, the relation (standard line) between an average torque (tav) and acceleration of a motor 6 which is determined on the basis of a running test conducted on a level road (angle of inclination 0 deg.) without a load is stored as a map. A microcomputer 13 calculates the average torque (tav) from the present impression voltage Vo of the motor 6 at each time interval To and calculates actual acceleration (a) at that time on the basis of a detection signal from a rotational sensor 12 connected to the motor 6. Then, the positional relations of points (tav, a) plotted on the map to the standard line is checked up and, when the points (tav, a) are positioned on the upper side of the standard line (a state wherein the acceleration is excessive), a soft start amount So (V/sec) is corrected to be smaller byΑS, while the amount So is corrected to be larger byΔS when they are positioned on the lower side of the line, to the contrary (a state wherein the acceleration falls). |
