<p>A multilayer absorbent sheet (10) with two or more layers (12, 14) each comprising at least one embossed sheet (16, 18, 20) of absorbent crepe paper, with an outer surface forming the outer surface of the multilayer sheet and an inner surface, the inner surface of the first layer (12) having first (22) and second (24) projections, and the inner surface of the second layer (14) having third projections (26) engaged between the projections (22, 24) of the first layer, the two layers (12, 14) being bonded together. The first layer (12) comprises a dual sheet including an inner sheet (16) with an inner surface bearing first (22A) and second (24A) projections; and an outer sheet (18) with an inner surface bearing first (22B) and second (24B) projections. The apexes of projections (22A) and (22B) are bonded together, but those of projections (24A) and (24B) are not.</p> |
