Fastening element with anchor bolt and clamping wedge

The fastening element has an anchor bolt (1) and a clamping wedge (2) which have combining surfaces in their front regions (13). The rear end (4) of the bolt has a flange section (5) for retaining an object. The bolt and the wedge are splayed relative to one another through a motion of the latter relative to the front end (10) of the bolt, which is remote from the flange. The undersize of the bolt with respect to the smallest possible hole diameter, and the oversize (b) of the assembled bolt and wedge relative to the largest possible hole diameter, are each of a few tenths of a millimetre. The wedge has a compression stem (14) which adjoins the front wedge section and is tapered relative it, and which is supported in the longitudinal direction of the bolt.
