SWING TYPE NON-WATER HAMMER CHECK VALVE

A swing type non-water hammer check valve is provided in a piping of fluid transfer to prevent reverse flow of a fluid and to safely and positively inhibit water hammer due to reverse flow of the fluid. A valve spindle of a simple and reasonable construction, in which a method of holding a spring and method of adjusting a spring force are made suitable, is used whereby it is possible to provide a valve closing force and a tight-sealing force accommodating a change of flow and a sealing means is improved to be made simpler and more positive to provide an economical non-water hammer check valve of high performance. In this swing type non-water hammer check valve, after a valve spindle (3), a valve disc (2) turnable around the spindle and a spring (4) are mounted in a valve casing (1), one end of the spring (4) is fixed to the valve spindle (3) by means of a set pin (5) and the like, the valve spindle (3) is rotated in a direction, in which the other end of the spring (4) is biased against the valve disc (2) to produce a predetermined spring force, and the valve spindle (3) is fixed to the valve casing (1) by means of a knock pin (6) and the like. Also, sealing means is provided on those portions of the valve spindle (3), which are near a fluid flow passage, in order to provide a sealing function between the valve spindle (3) and valve spindle bearing portions of the valve casing (1).
