<p>Procedure of and device for cutting webs of meltable material, in which the cutting is effected by means of laser irradiation and in each case several web layers (8a-8d) are held close together at such a distance that the laser irradiation in the parting cut penetrates all web layers (8a-8d) and cuts them individually, and the individual web layers consist of sections of an endless web sheet (2) and are folded one above the other in a loop shape. <IMAGE></p>
