Azeotropic compsn. comprises (by wt.): (a) 70-99% octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (I), and 1-30% n-Bu lactate (II), and is homogeneous and azeotropic at 100-180.9 [deg]C (vapour pressure 65 Torr at 100 [deg]C when the compsn. contains 99% (I) and 1% (II); and vapour pressure 1000 Torr at 180.9 [deg]C when it contains 70% (I) and 30% (II))]; or (b) 18-29% (I), and 71-82% n-propoxypropanol (III), and is homogeneous and azeotropic at 0-157.4 [deg]C (vapour pressure 0.86 Torr at 0 [deg]C when the compsn. contains 29% (I) and 71% (III); and vapour pressure 1000 Torr at 157.4 [deg]C when it comprises 18% (I) and 82% (III)); or (c) 49-51% (I), and 43.51% 1-butoxy-2-propanol (IV), and is homogeneous and azeotropic at 0-177.3 [deg]C (vapour pressure 0.18 Torr at 0 [deg]C when the compsn. contains 49% (I) and 51% (IV); and vapour pressure 1000 Torr at 177.3 [deg]C when it comprises 55% (I) and 45% (IV)); or (d) 61-70% (I), and 30-39% 1-butoxy-2-ethanol (V), and is homogeneous and azeotropic at 0-174.5 [deg]C (vapour pressure 0.16 Torr at 0 [deg]C when the compsn. contains 70% (I) and 30% (V); and vapour pressure 1000 Torr at 174.5 [deg]C when it comprises 61% (I) and 39% (V)); or (e) 66-97% (I), and 3-34% 4-methylcyclohexanol (VI), and is homogeneous and azeotropic at 0-173.7 [deg]C (vapour pressure 0.13 Torr at 0 [deg]C when the compsn. contains 97% (I) and 3% (VI); and vapour pressure 1000 Torr at 173.7 [deg]C when it comprises 66% (I) and 34% (VI)). |
