Binocular stereo microscope with illumination system

摘要

The microscope has an optical illumination system, to project light onto the retina of an eye of an observer, using a pair of exit pupils (60a,61a) and an objective (3). It also has left and right optical observation systems, on which light rays which are reflected from the retina can be made to fall by the objective. The pupils are perpendicular to the optical axes (01,02) of the two systems. They are fixed so that the amounts of reflected light rays which fall on the observation paths of the two systems are equal, or become roughly equal.
