The gambling machine (1) uses a number of randomly-generated signals, a combination of which decides whether games are won or lost. These signals are audio signals, all with differing frequencies, and are audible to the player via loudspeakers (2). Each group of audio signals is either heard simultaneously or in sequence. Winnings or losses are characterised by particular series of sounds, musical melodies or noises, or by words or phrases. Jackpot, high risk games, special games or extra winnings are also initiated by particular combinations of audible signals. Additional visual coloured game indicators are also available.
