A plate (1) for the spinning drum of a centrifuge, for the removal of cream from milk, comprises holes (2) and point spacer members (4) on its upper side. the spacers allow the milk, which has had the cream removed, to flow via a curved path to the outer plate edge. The separation area (3) between two adjacent plates is divided into a separate zone and an acceleration zone, and the acceleration zone contains spacers which promote curved flow of the milk.
