PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of surely controlling major paddy field weeds with a small amount of the composition for a long time by single application and applicable for a wide season by using a substituted benzoyl cyclic enone derivative with another compound having herbicidal activity in combination. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by compounding a substituted benzoyl cyclic enone derivative of formula I A is S(O)n R<1> [R<1> is an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenyl, etc.; (n)=0, 2], etc.; B is a halogen, nitro, an alkyl, etc., D is H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, etc., E is a halogen, an alkoxy, etc.} with 1-benzyl-3-aryl(alkyl) substituted urea derivative having herbicidal activity. The 1-benzyl-3-aryl(alkyl) substituted urea derivative is preferably a compound having herbicidal activity of formula II [R<3> and R<4> are each H or an alkyl; R<5> is an alkyl or a halogen; (m) is 0-3]. The compound of formula II is preferably 1-(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)-3-(4-methylphenylurea), etc.
