PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating oil which has good compatibility with an HFC coolant in a wide temp. range and possesses excellent volume resestivity, lubricity, low hygroscopicity, durability and other properties. SOLUTION: This refrigerating oil comprises a compd. represented by the formula, R<1> -[(OR<2> )m -OR<3> ]n (wherein R<1> represents a group, having a valency of (n), with an arom. nucleus, R<2> represents an alkylene group, R<3> represents a fluoroalkyl group, (n) is an integer of 1 to 6, and (m) is a number which provides a value of (m)×(n) of 4 to 80 on average). |
