METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING LIGHT PROJECTION CONCENTRATION

A method of projecting measuring light to a measurement portion of an object with high reproducibility so as to always establish a constant measuring condition. An optical measuring apparatus (1) includes a spectral analysis portion (5) for detecting a spectral intensity of reflected light (4) of measuring light (3) projected to the hand (2) of people. The spectral analysis portion is moved in X-, Y- and Z-axis directions and is rotated round the Z-axis by a movement mechanism (9). When the measurement portion of the hand (2) of people is registered, the image of the palm of the hand (2) is taken by a CCD camera (11), and an operator selects a portion having characteristics features from the pattern of the image so taken. When spectral analysis is executed, the palm of the hand (2) is again imaged by the CCD camera (11), the portion at the time of registration is detected from the pattern of that image, and after the spectral analysis portion (5) is moved by the movement mechanism (9), measuring light (3) is allowed to be incident on the characteristic feature portion so registered.
