FIELD: alcohol industry. SUBSTANCE: method consists in epuration of water-alcohol mixture in epuration column and further rectification in alcohol column to produce commercial alcohol. Epuration column is supplied with air in amount 0.1-50 cu.dm per 1 cu.dm of alcohol and oxidizing reagent, such as hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate, persulfates, and perborates in the form solutions. Air is fed into any part of epuration column, for example, together with feed or with heating steam. Air may be divided into two portions, one (1-99%) being fed into epuration column, and the other into alcohol column. Oxidizing reagent is fed into epuration column in amount determined from equation presented in description of invention. Into epuration column, basic reagent may also be entered such as potassium or sodium hydroxide, carbonate or bicarbonate. EFFECT: improved process flowsheet. |
