FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to phase separation of oil emulsions of "oil in water" or inverse type. Method includes contacting emulsion with settled continuous phase of dispersed medium by way of mixing, whereupon gravitation settling and phase withdrawal are followed. Emulsion stream is preliminarily subjected to hydrodynamic depression and, when emulsion is being mixed with continuous phase of dispersed medium, dispersed medium is entrained from phase interface and stream is distributed uniformly near phase interface in the case of "oil in water"-type emulsion separation or in settled layer of continuous phase in the case of "oil in water" emulsion type. Withdrawal of sediments from settling tank is additionally proposed. Apparatus has settling tank, emulsion distributors with installed therein mixers, and phase withdrawal means. Separator is mounted on inlet fitting of apparatus, and emulsion distributors are placed on the level of horizontal phase interface. Mixers are installed on distributor on condition of uniform distribution of stream near the phase interface. To separate emulsions of reverse type ("water in oil"), requirement of uniform distribution of stream near the phase interface is obeyed when mixers are arranged on horizontal distributors opposite one another and shifted to half distance between them. Such realization of apparatus may be additionally provided with electrodes. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg |
