FIELD: microwave antenna engineering, mainly antenna fairings of anti-aircraft missile homing heads. SUBSTANCE: nose antenna faring is made of glass-base textolite. Several rows of self-tapping screws are arranged in the zone of antenna pumping inside the fairing so as to enhance the heat resistance. Spacing between the screws and between the screw rows is approximately selected within (1.6 to 1.8)λ, where l - wavelength in free space. The distance between the screws is so selected that practically it has no influence on the radio-engineering characteristics of the missile nose antenna fairing. EFFECT: improved design. |
