Lipid-contg. concentrate is claimed for use as an additive for an animal feed supplement which is added to drinking water for animals. The concentrate is miscible with the feed and contains 10-85 (pref. 55-65) wt. % of at least one lipid and 15-90 (pref. 45-35) wt. % of at least one lecithin. Pref. the concentrate forms and aq. system comprising 14-26 wt. % lipid, 6-18 wt. % and 80-44 wt. % water, and opt. 0.2-1.0 wt. % of one or more vitamins. The lipid is (a mixt. of) triglyceride from plants, partic. coconut oil and/or palm kernel oil; the lecithin is derived from plant sources, esp. soya bean lecithin (and the acetone insoluble fraction of the lecithin comprises 40-80 wt. % phospholipids and 20-60 wt. % conventional associated lipids). |
