The invention relates to a liquid meter (20) of the single jet type comprising a body (22) wherein is provided a substantially cylindrical metering chamber (28) provided with a turbine (30) having a longitudinal axis XX' and provided with pipes (36), a supply pipe (24) and a distant pipe (26), said liquid pipes being connected to the body along an axis YY' crossing perpendicularly said axis XX', a casing (54) arranged within said body and the periphery of the turbine and comprising at least two slots (55, 60) arranged respectively facing the supply and discharge pipes, said slots being intended to inject and eject the liquid flow in a direction skewed with respect to the alignment axis of the pipes, characterized in that at least one slot (58; 74) is facing the supply pipe and receives on a profiled surface (62; 72; 75) the flow liquid issued from said pipe, thereby increasing progressively the speed of said flow.
