A hair pin is disclosed which is composed of one member and easy to operate the moving member pressing the hair. The pin (barrette) comprises a main body (1) at the center of a one-piece metal band; a male moving member (2) made of sheet metal and extending to both ends of the main body (1); a locking end (3) of the male moving member (2); an inner fold (4) made by folding inwardly the metal sheet at the other end of the main body (1); a lock base (6) with the inner fold (4) and outer fold (5) extended and folded outwardly; and a female fixed member (7) mating the locking end (3) of the male moving member (2). The female fixed member (7) and the locking end (3) of the male moving member (2) are engaged and disengaged utilizing the elastic characteristic of the lock base (6).
