Method of operating gas turbine burner

The gas turbine burner has a nozzle (10) formed from two concentric nozzles with a mechanically adjustable nozzle spindle (16) and nozzle mouth (30). The spindle is held closed during the ignition process and fuel is fed directly into the nozzle mouth. The fluid which is injected tangentially under pressure is set in rotation through the pressure energy and is atomized into finely dispersed drops. With a fuel supply with a mass flow of 0.1 kg/s an even stable spray cone is produced. The ignition takes place with constant fuel amount with cold start or hot start of the gas turbine biased by the burner.
