An association of precast concrete blocks of at least two forms are suitable for forming a traffic calming strip in a roadway. The blocks each have upper and lower sides, wherein the general planes of the front and rear sides, on the one hand, and lateral sides, on the other, are in each case substantially parallel, and wherein the vertical thickens, measured between the upper and lower sides, of each block varies between its front and rear sides so as to provide a central portion of greater vertical thickness than the vertical thickness at the front and rear sides. The cross seetion, in a plane transverse to the front and rear sides, of each block, of said one form, is uniform from one lateral side across the whole of its lateral width and wherein each block of an other form is uniform from one lateral side across part of it's lateral width and has an upper side formed so as to provide a tapered portion of reducing overall vertical thickness, measured between its upper and lower sides, across the remainder of its lateral width to the other one of the said lateral sides. The latter blocks are placed at the ends of a row of the former blocks. Several rows of blocks may be placed adjacent each other. |
