A characteristic testing apparatus of a braun tube having a dynamic/static characteristic reduces a overtime caused by a manual operation, a judgement error, and a model exchange loss, thereby enhancing a productivity. The apparatus includes: meter/display part(101) for displaying a resultant value after performing a test, and warning a defective state if the defective state is determined; a keyboard(107); a signal generator(109) for generating a video pattern; a video output part(102) for amplifying an output signal of the signal generator(109), and selecting a direct-coupling amplifier; a relay matrix part(103) adjacent to the CDT(106); a vertical deflection V-DEF part(110) for receiving a synchronous signal and a driving signal from the signal generator(109), and providing a vertical deflection power to V-DY(105); a vertical deflection part H-DEF part(111) for receiving a synchronous signal and a driving signal from the signal generator(109), amplifying a horizontal deflection power, and providing it to H-DY(105); EC3 and EC2(112) for providing a focus of the CDT(106) and a screen electrode voltage; CPM controller(113) for adjusting a voltage applied to a CPM(convergence purity magnetic) using a electronic magnetic; EB(114) for providing a high voltage(0V-40kV) to anode terminal of the DCT(106); SMPS(115) for providing a DC power-supply to each terminal of a system; and a power unit(16) for receiving AC input voltage, providing the AC input voltage to each terminal, and being automatically turned off in case of a system overload.
