PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide light, which does not require a standby power source for emergency and which can utilize the long and bright phosphorescent light. SOLUTION: A phosphorescent lamp is provided with a light emitting part 1 for covering the electric energy to the optical energy and a transparent glass 2 for covering the light emitting part 1. At least one of the inner surface and the outer surface of the transparent glass 2 is provided with phosphor layers 3, 4, and the phosphor layers 3, 4 are expressed with the following expression. (M1-p-q , Eup Qq )O.n(Al1-m Bm )2 O3 .kP2 O3 .αX. In the expression, 0.0001<=p<=0.5, 0.0001<=q<=0.5, 0.5<=n<=3.0, 0<=m<=0.5, 0<=k<=0.2, 0<=α<=0.5, 0<=α/n<=0.4, and M means at least one kind of divalent metal of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Q as the co-active agent means at least one kind of Mn, Zr, Nb, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, and X means at least one kind of halogen element of F, Cl, Br and I.
