PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a message from a base station during the rearrangement of effective variable-length data in a memory. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 104 writes the received message in the free storage area at the tail of the data area in an SRAM 105 in order from the head. The microcomputer 104 makes a message, deleted with a user's indication, ineffective and makes the remaining messages effective. The microcomputer 104 decides whether or not the current time measured by its internal timer part 113 is within a previously set timer set time and decides whether or not the head address of the free storage area exceeds a 2nd reference address when the current time is within the previously set timer time. When the head address exceeds the 2nd reference address, the effective messages written in the data area are rearranged so that they are arranged successively from the head of the data area.
