A portable and reusable drinking device that a user can carry passively on his or her person while taking part in a variety of activities. A garment accessory such as a belt pouch, a backpack or a jacket may be used to transport a flexible goatskin-like bag (101) provided with a drinking tube (111) and a pump (105) with an inlet tube (119). The various components are carried inside the garments or garment accessories, and the inlet tube (109) remains accessible to the user who may insert it into a beverage source such as a soft drink can and then use it very simply and conveniently to refill the drinking device with a beverage. The user actuates the pump (115) to pressurise the bag (101) then operates the mouth valve to let the liquid into his or her mouth. The mouth valve (113) is connected to the bag (101) via a drinking tube (111) that extends inside the lining of the garment or garment accessory and comes out through a lapel or other portion of the garment closest to the user's mouth. In another embodiment, a pump is incorporated into the bag to form a single element. In a further embodiment, a resilient member is joined to the inlet tube to enable said inlet tube to be sealingly fitted to virtually any kind of can or bottle which may then be safely carried by the user without fear of a leak. The pump (115) may then be used as often as required to maintain a constant pressure in the flexible bag (101). |
