The sheets of absorbent tissue can be used for paper handkerchieves, toilet paper, kitchen wipers, etc. The tissue is made from four thin sheets of ribbed paper (3). The rib pattern is sinusoidal. The rib pattern in each sheet is 180 degrees out of phase its neighbour, so that the peaks of the upper sheet are in line with the troughs of the next inner sheet, and so on. The narrow gaps (2) between peaks and troughs of adjacent sheets may reduced to attach the sheets.
