LOCKING METHOD FOR DISC BRAKE HEAT INSULATING MATERIAL AND BRAKE PISTON OR PISTON INSERT WITH HEAT INSULATING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a heat insulating material which is interposed between a brake piston or a piston insert and a friction pad, at the brake piston or the piston insert with more advantageous productivity and low cost and high reliability. SOLUTION: An annular groove 3 is formed inside a heat insulating material fitting hole 2 provided in a piston insert 1, and a part of heat insulating material 4 is charged in the fitting hole 2 for integral molding. It is thus possible to eliminate need of a locking process with no additional locking parts.
