PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate wide screen space and to improve display efficiency by displaying the retrieval result of a data base at an input location in its homophone state like the conversion candidate of a KANA(Japanese syllabary)/KANJI(Chinese character) conversion. SOLUTION: When a character string is set to an input character string storage area 13a, an input control processing part 12a continuously waits for the input of the next character or key information. When key information is set, this key information is a data base conversion key 11c and a character string is placed before the key information, an input control processing part 12a defines the character string as a conversion object and a data base conversion processing part 12a starts a data base conversion processing part 12c in a conversion mode by defining the character string as the conversion object. Therefore, the data base conversion processing part 12c performs a data base retrieval and sets the retrieval to a conversion candidate storage area 13b. Next, the input control processing part 12a calls a conversion candidate display processing part 12d in a candidate display mode. The conversion cadidate display processing part 12d displays the conversion candidate at a reading input location with the underline of a wave rule. |
