<p>The light fitting includes the light source (22) that delivers a beam of light (12) along a light guide (24). The light guide opens onto a mirror (10) that reflects the light onto the area to be illuminated. The direction of the emerging light beam is adjusted by altering the position of the mirror. The mirror has a concave surface to aid focusing of the light beam. The curvature of the surface is variable along the length of the mirror. The mirror is mounted so it can be displaced along its longitudinal axis, causing incident light to strike a different curvature. The mirror can also be moved closer to or away from the end of the light guide, providing a focal zoom effect.</p> |
